Favorites - 6 : Fly Fishing My favorite fishing area is mountain stream, especially "free stone" type stream which has variety of stream contour. Last time I enjoyed was summer in couple years ago(^^;. In my hometown in Japan, it takes only 30 minuets from home to fishing stream, but in here, it takes about three hours. So for efficient fishing travel, I am still watching weather forecast during I polish my fly rods. I have been a fly-fisher for almost 20 years. I hooked just ONLY SOME trouts to my flies, because I love trouts, don't want hurt them :-). My favorite type of fly is dry flies. Rise of trouts makes it exciting, and easier to know fish-bite of flies than nymph fishing. I used be carried insect net and catch flow insects for reference of fly selection, but stopped it when I found it does not matter to result. The picture is most recent catch. Rod is Scott Power-Ply G85-5(8.5 ft. #5 line, using for almost 15 years), and reel is Hardy Marquis #5. Grip of the fly rod is about 7inches long. If you are interested in, please check my travel report, A Week In Yellowstone(wrote in Japanese but still has some pictures). |
